American Sycamore (Zones 4-9)

The American Sycamore is a very large tree that thrives in deep soils and has fabulous, mottled bark. The leaves in the fall are vibrant yellow and orange. This wide-canopied deciduous tree has a massive trunk, and open crown of huge, crooked branches, and is often planted as a shade tree.
